General care

We use high quality UV stabilised resin when handcrafting our pieces. This prevents natural discoloration of the resin when exposed to sunlight. Care needs to be taken in sunlight as prolonged exposure can lead to the fading or bleaching of certain flowers in your piece. These flowers are photosensitive and will change tone or colour naturally over time. This is a natural process and is unavoidable.

While resin is relatively hardy it should also not be exposed to high temperatures or left standing in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause the piece to lose its shape or cause pits and dents on the surfaces.

Our resin is waterproof and very durable but it is advisable to avoid swimming or bathing while wearing the jewellery. Perfumes, body lotions, tanning oils and any alcohol based sprays can damage the surface finish of the resin so it it best to avoid getting this onto your jewellery. Cleaning your jewellery after wearing it will prevent the build up of residue from these products.

While the resin is hardy and durable it can be scratched if misused.

The bails used for pendants and studs used on the earings are secured using resin. Be careful not to tug harshly on the chains or studs as this can cause the studs and bails to break off the piece

Cleaning resin jewellery

Your resin jewellery can be cleaned using a damp soft cloth to remove any marks and residual build-up. Once dry it can be gently buffed with a dry soft cloth.

Avoid using any soaps or cleaning materials on your resin piece as this may cause damage.

Cleaning chains and earing studs

We offer a variety of options for chains and studs in stainless steel, plated silver and sterling silver to provide a beautiful finish that also suits your pocket.

To clean the metal finishes of your piece use warm water and a soft cloth to remove residual build up and dirt. A soft cloth can be used to buff afterwards. A little cleaning liquid can be used to return the shine to the metal. It is advised to avoid using jewellery cleaning polishes as these can be abrasive and can damage the metal surfaces over time.
